Bankstown is the heart of Sydney's south-west, home to Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital, the Bankstown Central shopping centre and thousands of growing families. Our baby seat taxi in Bankstown gives you a safe, simple way to get around: we arrive with a capsule, toddler seat or booster already fitted, so there's no wrestling with straps on the kerb.
Baby Taxi Sydney is a pre-booked family service available 24/7, every day of the year. Your fixed quote includes child seats and tolls, and we cover Bankstown and nearby suburbs such as Yagoona, Revesby, Padstow and Chester Hill. Our base in Roselands is only a short drive away.
Going home from Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital
Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is on Eldridge Road, Bankstown, and its birth unit is on Level 3. For many local parents, this is where the first car trip home begins, and you want it to be calm and safe.
- Book ahead with an estimated discharge date and time.
- Keep us updated on the day, as discharges often run later than planned.
- Your driver arrives with a rear-facing capsule secured with ISOFIX and top tether.
- They'll help with the bags while you carry your baby to the car.
A new Bankstown Hospital is being planned on Chapel Road in the town centre. For now, services continue at the Eldridge Road campus, so that's where we'll collect you. We're an independent service and aren't affiliated with the hospital. Learn more about our newborn hospital discharge taxi.
Bankstown to Sydney Airport via the M5
From Bankstown, Sydney Airport is usually around 25–40 minutes away, depending on traffic. The fastest route is normally the M5 South-West Motorway and then the M5 East towards General Holmes Drive. Since the Sydney Gateway opened, there's also a direct link from the M5 and M8 to the domestic terminals. Both are toll roads, but tolls are always included in your fixed quote, so there are no surprises at the end of the trip.
Revesby and Padstow are on the T8 Airport & South line, which runs straight to the airport. That suits light travellers, but with a baby, a pram and suitcases, plus no car seat waiting at the other end, a door-to-door car is often easier. On the return trip, we track your flight. Samantha W. told us: "We had a 40 minute wait on the tarmac and our driver was waiting patiently for us."

The new metro and when a car makes more sense
The Southwest Metro opened on 30 October 2026, giving Bankstown frequent, direct trains through to the city. It's great news for commuters. For families, though, some trips are still easier by car:
- Hospital and specialist visits – door to door, with no walk from the station.
- Big shopping trips – boot space for prams and bags after a morning at Bankstown Central.
- Early or late journeys – we run around the clock, including before the first train.
- Trips across the suburbs – such as Chester Hill to Revesby, which aren't always simple on public transport.
Our baby seat taxi in Bankstown and nearby suburbs
We pick up from homes, units and family gatherings across the area, including:
- Yagoona – along the Hume Highway corridor, west of the town centre.
- Revesby – a busy family suburb close to the M5.
- Padstow – quiet streets south of Bankstown, near Revesby.
- Chester Hill – to the north-west, handy for trips to Bankstown and Parramatta.
Grandparents flying in to meet a new baby? We can collect them from the airport and bring them straight to your door, with seats fitted for any other children travelling with them.

Seats that suit NSW rules and your child
In NSW, children under seven must use an approved child restraint suited to their age and size. Babies under six months must face the rear. Children from six months to four years need a rear-facing seat or a forward-facing seat with an inbuilt harness. From four to seven, a harnessed seat or booster is required.
Taxis do have some exemptions, so a child over 12 months may legally travel with only a seatbelt if no restraint is available. We'd rather not take that chance. Every seat we use meets AS/NZS 1754 and is fitted by a trained driver before pickup.
- Rear-facing baby capsules for newborns to around 12 months
- Forward-facing toddler seats with 5-point harness for around 1–4 years
- High-back boosters for around 4–8 years

Big families, big celebrations
Many south-west families travel together, with cousins, grandparents and plenty of luggage. Our 7-seater vans and 11-seater people movers fit several child seats side by side, with space for double prams and travel cots. Our maxi taxi with baby seats is ideal for weddings, family events and cruise departures from the Overseas Passenger Terminal or White Bay.

Can I book a baby seat taxi from Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital?
Yes. We collect families from Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital on Eldridge Road. Book ahead with an estimated discharge time and keep us updated, as discharges often change. Your driver will arrive with a rear-facing capsule already installed with ISOFIX and top tether, so you can go straight home without fitting a seat yourself.
How long is the drive from Bankstown to Sydney Airport?
It's usually around 25–40 minutes, depending on traffic and the time of day. Drivers normally use the M5 South-West Motorway and the M5 East, or the Sydney Gateway link for the domestic terminals. Weekday peaks can be slower, so we'll recommend a pickup time with a buffer. Tolls are included in your quote.
Are M5 tolls included in the price?
Yes. Your fixed quote includes any tolls on the route, as well as the child seats, with no hidden fees. The price you're quoted is the price you pay. Quotes depend on distance, vehicle size and the number of seats. Request one online or call 0426 779 775.
Do you service Revesby, Padstow and Yagoona?
Yes. We cover Revesby, Padstow, Yagoona, Chester Hill and the wider Bankstown area, plus most of Sydney within about 30 km of the city. Longer trips can be arranged. As we're a pre-booked service, booking in advance is the best way to secure the time you need.
Is it legal for a baby to ride in a taxi without a car seat in NSW?
No. Babies under 12 months must be secured in a suitable approved child restraint in a taxi. Older children have limited exemptions when no restraint is available, but a seatbelt alone isn't designed for small bodies. We fit an age-appropriate, AS/NZS 1754 compliant seat before every pickup. Transport for NSW has full details.
Can you fit seats for twins or several children?
Yes. Tell us how many children are travelling and their ages, and we'll fit the right mix of capsules, toddler seats and boosters. For three or more seats, or extra adults and luggage, we'll recommend a 7-seater van or 11-seater people mover with room for prams and bags.
