Hurstville is one of the busiest family hubs in southern Sydney, with a major shopping centre, a train station on the Illawarra line and plenty of young families living in apartments close to Forest Road. Our baby seat taxi in Hurstville is built for that kind of life: the capsule, toddler seat or booster your child needs is installed before the car pulls up, so you can buckle in and go.

Baby Taxi Sydney is a pre-booked family service that runs 24/7, all year round. You get a fixed quote that includes child seats and tolls, and we cover Hurstville and its neighbours, including Penshurst, Mortdale, Oatley, Peakhurst and Beverly Hills.

Shopping days, train stations and busy streets

Westfield Hurstville sits on the corner of Cross Street and Park Road, and Hurstville Station is a short walk away down Forest Road. It is a great place to shop, but juggling a pram, bags and a tired toddler at a public rank is hard work, and a regular taxi might not have a seat for your child.

With a pre-booked car, you choose the pickup point and time. That could be a quieter side street near the centre, your apartment building or a friend's place nearby. Just tell us where you'll be waiting and your driver will meet you there with the seats already in.

  • Big shopping trips – plenty of boot space for prams and shopping bags
  • Train connections – a door-to-door option when stairs, lifts and platform changes with a pram feel like too much
  • Late finishes – we run around the clock, so you're never stuck after an evening out

Hurstville to Sydney Airport with kids

Sydney Airport is usually around 20–35 minutes from Hurstville, depending on traffic and the time of day. Drivers often take King Georges Road towards the M5 East at Beverly Hills, or head along Forest Road towards the Princes Highway when that's quicker. We choose the best route on the day, and any tolls are already included in your fixed price.

The train is an option, but it usually means changing at Wolli Creek while carrying luggage and a car seat you then have nowhere to fit. A car that arrives with the capsule or toddler seat already installed is much simpler. Your driver will help load the bags, and on your return we track your flight so we're there when you land.

Our baby seat taxi in Hurstville and nearby suburbs

Every suburb around Hurstville has its own rhythm, and we know the local roads well.

  • Penshurst – between Hurstville and Beverly Hills, a short hop to King Georges Road.
  • Mortdale – leafy streets south-west of Hurstville, handy for school and sport runs.
  • Oatley – near the Georges River, where a pre-booked car saves the trek to a busier rank.
  • Peakhurst – quiet residential streets with quick access to the M5.
  • Beverly Hills – right beside the King Georges Road and M5 interchange.

We're also nearby. Our base is in Roselands, just up King Georges Road, which helps when you need an early start.

Hospital trips without the seat-fitting stress

Many Hurstville families have their babies at St George Hospital or St George Private Hospital, both in nearby Kogarah, which is usually just a short drive away. If you're heading home with a newborn, we'll arrive with a rear-facing capsule secured with ISOFIX and top tether, and help with the bags while you carry your baby out.

Discharge times often change, so book ahead with an estimated time and keep us updated on the day. Read more about our newborn hospital discharge taxi. We're an independent service and aren't affiliated with any hospital.

We also help with follow-up appointments, paediatric visits and specialist check-ups, so you don't have to search for parking with a sleeping baby.

The right seat for every age

In NSW, children under seven must travel in an approved child restraint that suits their age and size. Babies under six months must face the rear. From six months to four years, children need a rear-facing seat or a forward-facing seat with an inbuilt harness. From four to seven, they need a harnessed seat or a booster.

Taxis have some exemptions. For example, children over 12 months can legally ride with just a seatbelt if no restraint is available. A seatbelt isn't designed for a small body, though, so every seat we use is AS/NZS 1754 compliant and fitted by a trained driver before pickup.

  • Rear-facing baby capsules for newborns to around 12 months
  • Forward-facing toddler seats with 5-point harness for around 1–4 years
  • High-back boosters for around 4–8 years

Bigger families and group outings

Taking the grandparents to a family lunch, or heading to a cruise with three kids? Our 7-seater vans and 11-seater people movers can fit several child seats side by side, with room for double prams, travel cots and suitcases. We also run to the Overseas Passenger Terminal and White Bay for cruise holidays.

Jane D. summed it up: "In time, great communication, very fair price, and amazing service."

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you pick us up from Westfield Hurstville?

Yes. Just give us a clear meeting point when you book, such as a street address near the centre or a nearby entrance, and your driver will meet you there with the child seats already installed. Because we're a pre-booked service, it's best to book your return trip in advance rather than waiting at a public taxi rank.

How long does it take to get from Hurstville to Sydney Airport?

It usually takes around 20–35 minutes, depending on traffic. Drivers often use King Georges Road and the M5 East, or Forest Road towards the Princes Highway. Weekday peaks and holiday periods can be slower, so we'll suggest a pickup time with a sensible buffer. Any tolls are included in your fixed quote.

Do you cover Penshurst, Mortdale and Oatley?

Yes. We regularly pick up from Penshurst, Mortdale, Oatley, Peakhurst, Beverly Hills and the rest of the Hurstville area, and we service the wider Sydney region within about 30 km of the city. Longer trips can be arranged. Booking ahead is the best way to lock in the time you want.

Is a baby seat taxi better than catching the train to the airport?

The train works well for some travellers, but from Hurstville it usually means a change at Wolli Creek, plus carrying luggage, a pram and any car seat you need at the other end. With a baby seat taxi, the right restraint is already fitted, your bags go in the boot and you travel door to door.

Can you fit seats for two or three children?

Yes. Let us know how many children are travelling and their ages, and we'll fit the right mix of capsules, toddler seats and boosters. For three or more seats, or extra adults and luggage, we'll suggest a 7-seater van or 11-seater people mover, which can take several seats side by side.

Can you take us home from St George Hospital in Kogarah?

Yes. We collect families from St George Hospital and St George Private Hospital in Kogarah, a short drive from Hurstville. Book ahead with an estimated discharge time and update us on the day. Your driver will arrive with a rear-facing capsule already installed and checked, so there's nothing to fit in the car park.
