Booking a taxi with baby seat in Parramatta shouldn't mean hoping the right restraint turns up. With Baby Taxi Sydney, the capsule, toddler seat or booster your child needs is installed and checked before your driver pulls up, whether that's outside your apartment near Church Street or at the drop-off zone of a Westmead hospital.
Parramatta families travel for all sorts of reasons: specialist appointments at Westmead, flights out of Sydney Airport, visits to grandparents across the city. We're a pre-booked service that runs 24/7, every day of the year, with a fixed quote that already includes baby seats and tolls.
Trips to the Westmead health precinct
For many local parents, the Westmead health precinct is the reason they first look for a car with a child seat. It sits just a few minutes from the Parramatta CBD and brings together three major hospitals, so knowing which entrance you need makes the trip far less stressful.
- The Children's Hospital at Westmead – corner of Hawkesbury Road and Hainsworth Street. The children's emergency department is on Hawkesbury Road, between the children's hospital and Westmead Hospital.
- Westmead Hospital – corner of Hawkesbury Road and Darcy Road, with maternity and neonatal intensive care services.
- Westmead Private Hospital – corner of Mons and Darcy Roads, with its main entrance on Darcy Road. It has birthing suites and a special care nursery.
Tell us which hospital and, if you know it, which entrance or department you're heading to. Your driver will plan the drop-off so you're not carrying a capsule and a nappy bag across a busy campus. We're an independent service and aren't affiliated with any hospital.
Bringing your newborn home from Westmead
Discharge day rarely runs to a strict timetable. Paperwork, a final check from the paediatrician or a feed before leaving can all push things back. Because we're pre-booked, you can give us an estimated time and keep us updated, and we'll work with you on the timing.
Your driver arrives with a rear-facing baby capsule already secured with ISOFIX and top tether. There's no wrestling with an unfamiliar seat in the hospital car park, and plenty of boot space for the bags, flowers and balloons that seem to multiply during a hospital stay. Parramatta to Sydney Airport via the M4 and WestConnex
The airport run from Parramatta is much simpler than it used to be. Our drivers typically take the M4 east, continue through the WestConnex M4–M8 tunnels and connect to Sydney Gateway, which leads directly to both the domestic (T2/T3) and international (T1) terminals.
Off-peak, the trip often takes around 25–40 minutes, but weekday peaks and school holidays can add time. Because tolls are already built into your fixed quote, your driver can take the motorway route without any surprise charges at the end.
Heading home after a long-haul flight? Your driver tracks your arrival. As Samantha W. told us: "We had a 40 minute wait on the tarmac and our driver was waiting patiently for us." See how our airport transfers with baby seat work.

The right seat for every age, fitted properly
NSW law requires children under seven to travel in an approved child restraint that suits their age and size. Babies under six months must be rear-facing. From six months to four years, they need a rear-facing seat or a forward-facing seat with an inbuilt harness. From four to seven, they need a harnessed seat or a booster.
Standard taxis have limited exemptions. For example, a child over 12 months may legally travel with just a seatbelt if no restraint is available. Legal isn't the same as safe, though, which is why every seat we use meets AS/NZS 1754 and is installed by a driver trained to fit it correctly.
- Rear-facing baby capsules (newborn to around 12 months)
- Forward-facing toddler seats with 5-point harness (around 1–4 years)
- High-back booster seats (around 4–8 years)

Bigger families and longer trips
Travelling with siblings, grandparents or a double pram? Our 7-seater vans and 11-seater people movers can fit several child seats side by side, with room for luggage and travel cots. They're popular for airport runs, cruise terminal transfers, family events and day trips to the Blue Mountains. Booking takes a couple of minutes online, or call us on 0426 779 775.

Can I get a taxi with a baby seat to The Children's Hospital at Westmead?
Yes. We regularly take families to the Westmead precinct, including The Children's Hospital at Westmead on the corner of Hawkesbury Road and Hainsworth Street. Let us know your child's age and the department or entrance you need, and we'll arrive with the right seat already fitted. For a genuine medical emergency, always call 000 rather than booking a car.
How long does it take to drive from Parramatta to Sydney Airport?
Outside peak times, it often takes around 25–40 minutes using the M4, the WestConnex M4–M8 tunnels and Sydney Gateway. Weekday mornings, late afternoons and holiday periods can take longer. When you book, we'll suggest a pickup time with a sensible buffer, and tolls are already included in your quote.
Can you collect us from Westmead Private Hospital after the birth?
Yes. Westmead Private's main entrance is on Darcy Road, and we can meet you there with a rear-facing capsule already installed. Give us an estimated discharge time when you book and keep us updated if it changes on the day. Your driver will help load your bags so you can focus on settling your baby.
Do I need to bring my own baby capsule or car seat?
No. We supply rear-facing capsules, forward-facing toddler seats and booster seats, all compliant with AS/NZS 1754 and anchored with ISOFIX and top tether. Just tell us each child's age when booking. If you'd prefer to use your own seat, mention it and we'll talk it through with you.
What does a baby seat taxi from Parramatta cost?
Every trip has a fixed quote that includes baby seats and tolls, so the price you're given is the price you pay. Costs depend on distance, vehicle size and the number of seats you need. Request a quote online or call 0426 779 775 for a quick answer.
Do you pick up from Harris Park, Granville and North Parramatta?
Yes. We cover Harris Park, Granville, North Parramatta, Westmead and the surrounding suburbs, along with the rest of Sydney within about 30 km of the city. Outer suburbs and long-distance trips can be arranged. Because we're a pre-booked service, booking ahead is the best way to secure your preferred time.
