Western Sydney International is relatively close

Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport at Badgerys Creek opened to passengers on 25 October 2026, and for families in this area it's relatively close. From Oran Park, the drive is often around 15–25 minutes; from Narellan, Gregory Hills or Leppington, allow roughly 20–30 minutes, depending on traffic. Drivers usually take The Northern Road, with no tolls on the way.

Since the new airport opened, some travellers have been caught out heading to the wrong one. Check your booking and tell us which airport your flight uses, and we'll plan the pick-up time around it.

The longer run to Sydney Airport

If your flight leaves from Sydney Airport at Mascot, the trip is much longer. From Narellan or Oran Park, the drive is often around 55–70 minutes off-peak, and from Camden's town centre more like 60–75 minutes, mostly via the M5. Weekday peaks can add a lot more, so we'll suggest a pick-up time with a generous buffer. Any tolls are included in your quote.

Births at Campbelltown, appointments at Camden

Camden and Campbelltown hospitals run a shared maternity service. Antenatal appointments may be held at Camden Hospital on Menangle Road, Camden, while the birthing unit is at Campbelltown Hospital on Therry Road, Campbelltown.

On discharge day, your driver brings a rear-facing capsule fitted with ISOFIX and top tether and takes you home to Camden, Oran Park, Narellan or Gregory Hills. The Australian Botanic Garden at Mount Annan, on Narellan Road, is Australia's largest botanic garden, with picnic areas, walking tracks and a playground. Camden's main street, Argyle Street, keeps its original street grid and many heritage shopfronts, and makes a relaxed wander with a pram.

Long drives deserve a properly fitted seat

In NSW, children under seven must use an approved child restraint suited to their age and size. Babies under six months must face the rear. From six months to four years, a rear-facing seat or a forward-facing seat with an inbuilt harness is required, and from four to seven, a harnessed seat or a booster.

A taxi exemption allows a child over 12 months to wear only a seatbelt if no restraint is available, but on an hour-long motorway run that's not a risk worth taking.
