Flying out of Sydney's new airport with little ones? Our Western Sydney Airport taxi with baby seat service means the capsule, toddler seat or booster is already installed when your driver pulls up, so you can load the bags, buckle in and go. No wrestling with a car seat at the kerb, and no wondering whether a rank taxi will have one.

Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport, known as WSI, opened to passengers on 25 October 2026. It sits at Badgerys Creek and Luddenham, well beyond our usual area of around 30 km from the city, so we look after WSI trips as outskirts bookings by arrangement. Book ahead and we'll plan the car, the seats and the timing around your flight.

Western Sydney International: what families should know

WSI welcomed its first passenger flight, a Jetstar service to the Gold Coast, on Sunday 25 October 2026. The first international flight, Air New Zealand from Auckland, arrived the next day. It's a brand-new, single-terminal airport at 40 Nancy Drive, Luddenham, and it is designed to operate without a curfew.

Flights are still building up, so it pays to double-check your airline and schedule:

  • Jetstar – flying now to Melbourne, the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
  • Air New Zealand – flying now to and from Auckland.
  • Singapore Airlines – daily Singapore services announced from late November 2026.
  • Coming in 2027 – Vietjet (Ho Chi Minh City), Fiji Airways (Nadi) and Qantas (Melbourne and Brisbane) have announced services starting next year.

Because timetables at a new airport can change, always confirm your flight time with your airline before you book your transfer.

Why book a Western Sydney Airport taxi with baby seat

WSI is roughly 45 km from the Sydney CBD, and the drive from the city is often around an hour, depending on traffic. That is a long trip for a baby or toddler, and exactly the kind of journey where a properly fitted seat matters most.

In NSW, children under 7 must travel in an approved child restraint suitable for their age and size. Taxis have a limited exemption for children over 12 months, which is why many rank taxis don't carry seats at all. The law setting the minimum isn't the same as the safest choice, though. A crash doesn't care what type of car you are in, and a correctly installed seat is what protects your child.

With us, the seat is part of the booking, not a hopeful extra. Your driver installs it before pickup, so you're not left at the kerb with a tired child and no safe way home. You can read more about how our airport transfers with baby seat work across Sydney.

The right seat for every age

Tell us your children's ages when you book and we'll match the restraint to each child. Every seat is an Australian Standard (AS/NZS 1754) compliant restraint, anchored with ISOFIX and top tether by drivers trained in correct installation.

  • Baby capsules – rear-facing, from newborn to around 12 months.
  • Toddler seats – forward-facing with a 5-point harness, for around 1 to 4 years.
  • High-back boosters – for around 4 to 8 years.

Travelling with twins, siblings or cousins? We can fit several seats in the same vehicle, and child seats are cleaned between trips.

Room for prams, cots and holiday luggage

Airport trips with kids mean a lot of gear. Our fleet includes premium sedans, SUVs, 7-seater vans and 11-seater people movers, all with generous boot space for prams, double prams, travel cots and suitcases.

If you're travelling as a big family or with grandparents, a maxi taxi with baby seats lets everyone ride together, with several child seats fitted side by side and the luggage in one place. Vehicles are cleaned and sanitised, which matters when your baby is about to spend the day on a plane.

Getting to WSI: roads, drop-off and pick-up

The airport is reached by the toll-free M12 Motorway, which links WSI directly to the M7 and the wider Sydney motorway network. The M12 opened in March 2026, with the M7–M12 interchange connection following in June.

Depending on where you're coming from, other parts of your route may still carry tolls. That's no surprise cost to you: our fixed quote already includes any tolls, along with the baby seats, so the price we give is the price you pay.

At the terminal, taxis and rideshare have dedicated kerbside pick-up areas next to the terminal on Nancy Drive, and the airport has signage to guide you. When you book, give us your flight number and scheduled time so we can plan your pick-up around your arrival.

Booking a WSI family transfer

Because Western Sydney Airport is outside our usual service area, please book in advance rather than on the day. We run 24/7, 365 days a year, on a pre-booked basis, so early-morning and late-evening flights are no problem with enough notice.

When you book, let us know:

  • Your pickup address and whether you're departing from or arriving at WSI.
  • Your flight number and scheduled time.
  • Each child's age, so we bring the right seats.
  • How many adults, and what luggage, prams or cots you're bringing.

As one family put it after a delayed arrival: "We had a 40 minute wait on the tarmac and our driver was waiting patiently for us." (Samantha W.)

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Western Sydney Airport open yet?

Yes. Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport opened to passengers on 25 October 2026, with Jetstar's first flight to the Gold Coast. Air New Zealand began international flights from Auckland the following day. More airlines have announced services from late 2026 and through 2027, so always confirm your flight details with your airline before booking a transfer.

Can I get a taxi with a baby seat at Western Sydney Airport?

Many rank taxis don't carry child seats, because NSW taxis have a limited exemption for children over 12 months. The safest option is to pre-book a transfer where the seat comes with the car. We install a baby capsule, toddler seat or booster that suits your child's age before pickup, so it's ready when you reach the kerb.

Do you service Western Sydney Airport from anywhere in Sydney?

We mainly cover around 30 km of the city, and WSI at Badgerys Creek and Luddenham is beyond that, so we take airport trips there as outskirts bookings by arrangement. Contact us or book online with your pickup suburb and flight details, ideally well in advance, and we'll confirm availability and give you a fixed quote.

Are tolls included in the price of a WSI transfer?

Yes. The M12 Motorway into the airport is toll-free, but some routes across Sydney use tolled roads. Our fixed quote includes any tolls on your trip as well as the baby seats, with no hidden fees. The price you're quoted when you book is the price you pay on the day.

How long does it take to get to Western Sydney Airport?

It depends on where you start and the traffic. The airport is roughly 45 km from the Sydney CBD, and driving from the city typically takes around an hour. Trips from south-west and western suburbs are often shorter. Leave plenty of buffer for check-in with children, especially while the airport and its routes are still new.

Which airlines fly from Western Sydney Airport?

At opening, Jetstar flies domestic routes to Melbourne, the Gold Coast and Brisbane, and Air New Zealand flies to Auckland. Singapore Airlines has announced daily Singapore flights from late November 2026, with Vietjet, Fiji Airways and Qantas due to start in 2027. Schedules at a new airport can change, so check with your airline.

Can you fit several car seats and a double pram?

Yes. Tell us each child's age and what gear you're bringing when you book. Our SUVs, 7-seater vans and 11-seater people movers can take multiple child seats side by side, with plenty of boot space for double prams, travel cots and suitcases, so the whole family can travel to the airport together.
