Blacktown Hospital on Blacktown Road runs one of Western Sydney's busiest maternity services, and Western Sydney Local Health District says it has more than 4,000 births a year. Our newborn taxi Blacktown Hospital service sends a car with a rear-facing baby capsule already installed, so going home is simple, safe and on your timetable.
Discharge day in Blacktown is often a full-car occasion, with older siblings, grandparents and a pram to fit in. We take families to Seven Hills, Quakers Hill, Schofields, Marsden Park, Rooty Hill, Mount Druitt and right across Sydney, and your quote includes every baby seat and toll before you confirm.
Finding the right entrance at Blacktown Hospital
Blacktown Hospital's address is 18 Blacktown Road, Blacktown. Its car parks are reached from Marcel Crescent and Panorama Parade, and from Blacktown Road. Visitor parking includes P1 opposite Main Hospital Entry 1, P12 opposite Main Hospital Entry 3, and P6 opposite the Emergency Department, and the Birth Unit is on Level 6.
With several entries on a large campus, the easiest pick-up point depends on where you are coming down from. We agree a specific entry with you when you book, confirm it again on the day, and your driver waits there with the capsule ready. Nobody needs to pay for parking or carry bags across a car park.
Please note that Baby Taxi Sydney is independent and is not affiliated with Blacktown Hospital or Western Sydney Local Health District.
Caseload births and four-to-six-hour discharges
Blacktown offers several pregnancy care options. In its Midwifery Caseload Practice, women in good health can plan to go home with their baby 4 to 6 hours after the birth if both are well. For other models of care, your midwife will tell you how long you are likely to stay.
- Book in pregnancy with your due date and address so your booking is ready to go.
- Planning an early discharge? Tell us, and we will be ready for a call within hours of the birth.
- Call 0426 779 775 when you are cleared to leave. We operate 24/7, 365 days a year.
- Plans change? If you need to stay longer, we move the booking.

Room for the whole family on discharge day
A new baby often brings the whole family to the hospital. Our fleet includes premium sedans, SUVs, 7-seater vans and 11-seater people movers, so we can match the car to your group. Tell us the ages of every child travelling and we will fit the right seat for each one:
- a rear-facing capsule for your newborn
- a forward-facing toddler seat with a 5-point harness for a sibling aged about 1 to 4
- a high-back booster for an older child aged about 4 to 8
- two capsules side by side for twins
There is boot space for prams, double prams, travel cots and hospital bags. For bigger groups, see our maxi taxi with baby seats.
Newborn taxi Blacktown Hospital: routes home
Blacktown Road connects the hospital to the Great Western Highway and to the M4 and M7 motorways, which carry most longer trips.
- Quakers Hill, Schofields and Marsden Park: north-west via local roads such as Richmond Road, or the M7, depending on traffic.
- Mount Druitt, Rooty Hill and St Marys: west via the Great Western Highway or the M4.
- Seven Hills, Parramatta and the Hills: east and north on local roads or the motorways.
- Sydney CBD: around 35 km, often 35 to 55 minutes depending on traffic.
- Sydney Airport: around 37 to 40 km, usually 35 to 60 minutes via the M4 and WestConnex or the M7 and M5.

Why your toddler needs a proper seat too
NSW rules require babies under 6 months to travel in an approved rear-facing restraint, and in a taxi every child under 12 months must be in a suitable approved restraint. Once a child is over 12 months, though, taxis have an exemption that allows a properly adjusted seatbelt instead. Legal is not the same as safe, so we bring the right restraint for every child, not only the newborn.
All our seats meet Australian Standard AS/NZS 1754 and are fitted with ISOFIX and a top tether before pickup by drivers trained in correct installation. See our taxi with child seat in Sydney for older children.
Family flying in to meet the baby?
Many Blacktown families have relatives arriving from interstate or overseas around the birth. We can collect them from Sydney Airport's T1 international or T2/T3 domestic terminals, and later take everyone back, through our airport transfers with baby seat.
As Tom S. wrote: "Airport pick up and drop off with baby seat was spot on." Vehicles are cleaned and sanitised and child seats are cleaned between trips. When you are ready, book online or give us a call.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Baby Taxi Sydney linked to Blacktown Hospital?
No. Baby Taxi Sydney is an independent family taxi and chauffeur service. We are not affiliated with Blacktown Hospital or Western Sydney Local Health District. Parents book us directly so that a car with a correctly fitted rear-facing capsule is waiting on discharge day, and we confirm the pick-up entry with you before we arrive.
Which entrance do you use at Blacktown Hospital?
The hospital has several entries, with car parks reached from Marcel Crescent, Panorama Parade and Blacktown Road. Visitor parking sits opposite Main Hospital Entry 1 and Entry 3 and opposite the Emergency Department. We agree the most convenient entry for you when you book and confirm it on the day, so you know exactly where your driver is.
I am in the caseload program and may go home within hours. Can you be ready?
Yes. Book ahead with your due date and let us know you are planning an early discharge. When your midwife confirms you can leave, call 0426 779 775. We operate 24/7, including nights and weekends, and the capsule is installed before the car arrives, so you can leave as soon as you are ready.
Can you fit a capsule, a toddler seat and a booster in one car?
Yes. Tell us the ages of every child when you book. We fit a rear-facing capsule, a forward-facing toddler seat with a 5-point harness and a high-back booster as needed, all anchored with ISOFIX and a top tether. Our 7-seaters and people movers fit several seats side by side with room for adults and the pram.
Do I pay extra for the seats or the motorway tolls?
No. Your quote includes every baby and child seat we install and any tolls on the route, such as the M4 or M7. The price is confirmed before you book and there are no hidden fees, so a longer wait at discharge or a stop for a feed on the way home does not add surprise costs.
Can you also pick up relatives from Sydney Airport?
Yes. We run airport transfers to and from Sydney Airport's T1 international and T2/T3 domestic terminals, with baby and child seats fitted where needed. Many families book a grandparent's arrival and the newborn's trip home together. Tell us the flight details when you book and we will plan both trips around your discharge.
