Sydney Olympic Park is one of the busiest family destinations in Sydney, but event days, road closures and crowded trains can make it hard work with a baby or toddler. Booking a taxi with baby seat to Olympic Park means the right capsule, toddler seat or booster is installed before we arrive, and your driver plans the drop-off around the day's arrangements.

Baby Taxi Sydney is a pre-booked service running 24/7, 365 days a year. Every quote is fixed and includes child seats and tolls. We also look after families who live around the park, in Wentworth Point, Newington, Homebush, Auburn and Lidcombe, for everyday trips as well as the big occasions.

Event days at Accor Stadium, Afterpay Arena and the Showground

The park hosts major concerts, football finals and the Sydney Royal Easter Show at Sydney Showground. On big event days, roads inside the precinct are often closed before, during and after the event, and drop-off and pick-up arrangements change from event to event.

  • Taxi ranks are on Herb Elliott Avenue near the Pullman Hotel, and some events add extra ranks or designated pick-up and drop-off zones, often along Olympic Boulevard.
  • We check the event's transport plan and agree a meeting point with you before the day.
  • Leaving a little early or late can mean a much calmer walk back to the car with a sleepy child.

After a big event, demand for cars is high and queues can be long. A pre-booked driver who already has your child's seat fitted is one less thing to worry about when the crowds pour out. Think about ear protection for little ones at loud concerts too.

Playground days at Blaxland Riverside Park and Bicentennial Park

On non-event days, the park is a favourite for families. Blaxland Riverside Park on Jamieson Street has a three-hectare play space beside the Parramatta River, with tunnel slides, a flying fox, a multi-level treehouse and a seasonal water play area. Bicentennial Park offers about 40 hectares of open parkland, playgrounds and picnic spots.

Parking in the parklands has time limits and can fill up quickly on sunny weekends. We can drop you near the playground and collect you at a set time, with room in the boot for scooters, a pram and the picnic basket.

Living in Auburn, Lidcombe and Wentworth Point

Olympic Park sits among some of Sydney's fastest-growing family neighbourhoods. Lidcombe station is the main rail junction for the area, with trains running across to Olympic Park station, but changing trains with a pram and a toddler isn't always simple.

Local families book us for antenatal and paediatric appointments, including trips to Auburn Hospital on Hargrave Road, as well as visits to relatives across Sydney. We're an independent service and have no affiliation with any hospital. If you've just had your baby at a nearby hospital, we can also bring you home with a capsule already fitted.

Whether you need a taxi with car seat in Olympic Park, Auburn or Lidcombe, simply tell us each child's age and we'll match the seats. Find out more about our taxi with child seat service across Sydney.

Taxi with baby seat from Olympic Park to the airport

The airport run is fairly straightforward from here. Drivers typically take the M4 east and continue through the WestConnex tunnels to Sydney Gateway, which connects to both the domestic and international terminals. The trip often takes around 30–45 minutes, depending on traffic, and tolls are always included in your quote.

Many families staying at the park's hotels for an event also fly in or out the same weekend. We can collect you at the terminal, take you to your hotel and bring you back for your flight. See our airport transfers with baby seat.

Seats that meet NSW rules

In NSW, children under seven must use an approved restraint suited to their age and size. Babies under six months must face the rear, and children aged six months to four years need a rear-facing seat or a forward-facing seat with an inbuilt harness. Children aged four to seven need a harnessed seat or a booster.

Taxis have a limited exemption that allows a child over 12 months to use only a seatbelt if no restraint is available. On a crowded event night, that's often exactly what happens at the rank. A pre-booked child seat taxi avoids the gamble. Our restraints meet AS/NZS 1754 and are fitted with ISOFIX and top tether by trained drivers before every pickup.

  • Rear-facing capsules for newborns to around 12 months
  • Forward-facing toddler seats with a 5-point harness for around 1–4 years
  • High-back boosters for around 4–8 years

Frequently Asked Questions

Where will you drop us off on an event day at Sydney Olympic Park?

It depends on the event. Roads in the precinct are often closed on big event days, and pick-up and drop-off zones are set for each event. We check the published transport plan beforehand and agree a meeting point with you, so you're not searching for your car in the crowds afterwards.

Can you take us home after a concert at Accor Stadium?

Yes. We pre-book a return pickup and agree a meeting point near the venue based on that night's arrangements. Demand for taxis and rideshare is very high after big events, so booking ahead with seats already fitted is far easier than queuing at a rank with a tired child.

Can you get us to the Sydney Royal Easter Show with a pram?

Yes. The Easter Show is held at Sydney Showground in Sydney Olympic Park. Our vehicles have room for prams, and larger families can book a 7-seater or 11-seater. Book early, as Easter is a busy time, and tell us how many children are travelling and their ages.

Do you pick up in Wentworth Point, Newington and Auburn?

Yes. We cover Wentworth Point, Newington, Homebush, Lidcombe, Auburn, Silverwater and Rhodes, as well as most of Sydney. Whether it's a playground trip, a medical appointment or an airport run, we fit the right seat for every child before pickup.

How long does it take from Olympic Park to Sydney Airport?

It's often around 30–45 minutes, depending on traffic and the time of day. Drivers usually use the M4, the WestConnex tunnels and Sydney Gateway, which links to both the domestic and international terminals. Tolls are included in your fixed quote, so there are no extra charges at the end of the trip.

Is it legal for my toddler to ride in a taxi without a car seat?

In NSW, a child over 12 months may ride in a taxi with just a seatbelt if no restraint is available, but a baby under 12 months must be in a suitable approved restraint. A seatbelt isn't designed for small bodies, so we always fit an age-appropriate AS/NZS 1754 compliant seat before pickup.
