Ryde and Macquarie Park are home to growing families, students, and professionals working in one of Sydney's biggest business parks. A taxi with baby seat in Ryde gives you an easy, safe way to get around: we arrive with a capsule, toddler seat or booster already installed, so you don't need to own one or fit it yourself.
Baby Taxi Sydney is a pre-booked family service that runs 24/7, all year round. Your fixed quote includes child seats and tolls, with no hidden fees. We cover Ryde, Macquarie Park, North Ryde, Eastwood, West Ryde, Gladesville and the surrounding suburbs.
When a taxi with baby seat in Ryde makes sense
The metro stops at North Ryde, Macquarie Park and Macquarie University, and buses run along Victoria Road and Lane Cove Road. That's fine for commuting, but harder with a pram, nappy bag and tired toddler. Families book us for:
- Shopping trips – Macquarie Centre on the corner of Herring and Waterloo roads, or Top Ryde City on Devlin Street and Blaxland Road, with room in the boot for everything you buy.
- Apartment pick-ups – many Macquarie Park and North Ryde families live in towers without a second car.
- Visiting family – across the river or across the city, with every child properly seated.
New to Sydney? Start with the right seat
Macquarie Park's universities and big employers bring plenty of families to Ryde from interstate and overseas. You might land with children but no car, and no car seats either. We can collect you from Sydney Airport with the right seats already fitted, take you to your new home or serviced apartment, and help with the luggage.
For the first few weeks, while you sort out a car, we can handle the trips that matter most: medical appointments, school visits and big shops. When your child needs a seat but you don't have one yet, a pre-booked child seat taxi is the simplest, safest answer. Learn more about our airport transfers with baby seat.

Ryde Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital and beyond
Ryde Hospital is on Denistone Road, Eastwood, and is in the middle of a major redevelopment, so entrances and drop-off points can change. Macquarie University Hospital, a private hospital at 3 Technology Place on the university campus, is another place local families travel to for specialist care.
Many Ryde parents give birth at Royal North Shore Hospital in St Leonards, around 15–25 minutes away depending on traffic. Wherever you deliver, we can take you home in a car with a rear-facing capsule already secured with ISOFIX and top tether. We're an independent service and aren't affiliated with any hospital. See our newborn hospital discharge taxi.
Ryde to Sydney Airport
From Ryde, Sydney Airport is usually around 35–55 minutes away, depending on traffic and the time of day. Drivers either head along Lane Cove Road or Epping Road to the Lane Cove Tunnel and the harbour crossings, or take Victoria Road to WestConnex and the Sydney Gateway. Tolls on either route are included in your fixed quote.
Weekday peaks on Victoria Road and the harbour approaches can be slow, so we'll suggest a pick-up time with a buffer for check-in. A D shared: "They organised a driver for us within 30minutes. The vehicles were super clean."

The right seat for NSW law and your child
In NSW, children under seven must use an approved child restraint that suits their age and size. Babies up to six months must face the rear. From six months to four years, a child needs a rear-facing seat or a forward-facing seat with an inbuilt harness. From four to seven, a harnessed seat or booster seat is required.
Taxis can carry a child over 12 months with only a seatbelt if no restraint is available. It's legal, but it isn't designed to protect a small child. That's why we fit an AS/NZS 1754 compliant seat before every pickup:
- Rear-facing baby capsules for newborns to around 12 months
- Forward-facing toddler seats with 5-point harness for around 1–4 years
- High-back booster seats for around 4–8 years
School runs and activities across Ryde
Between school, swimming, music lessons and weekend sport, Ryde families do a lot of driving. If you need a hand, we can take children to and from activities with the correct seat or booster fitted for each one. Many families also book a taxi with car seat in Ryde when the regular car is out of action. More on our kids transfers.

Can you pick us up from Sydney Airport when we move to Ryde?
Yes. Tell us your flight details, how many people are travelling, each child's age and how much luggage you have. We'll arrive with the right capsule, toddler seat or booster fitted and choose a vehicle with enough room, such as a 7-seater van or 11-seater people mover for big moves.
How long does it take to drive from Ryde to Sydney Airport?
It's usually around 35–55 minutes, depending on traffic and your terminal. Drivers take either the Lane Cove Tunnel and harbour crossings or Victoria Road to WestConnex and the Sydney Gateway. Weekday peaks can be slower, so we'll recommend a pick-up time with a buffer. Tolls are included in your fixed price.
Can you take us to Macquarie University Hospital or Ryde Hospital?
Yes. We can take you and your children to Macquarie University Hospital at 3 Technology Place or Ryde Hospital on Denistone Road, Eastwood, with seats fitted for each child. Ryde Hospital is being redeveloped, so let us know any drop-off instructions you've been given. We're not affiliated with either hospital.
Can you bring our newborn home from Royal North Shore Hospital?
Yes. Many Ryde families give birth at Royal North Shore in St Leonards. Book with your expected discharge date and keep us updated on the day, as timing often changes. Your driver arrives with a rear-facing capsule installed with ISOFIX and top tether, ready for the trip home to Ryde.
Do you pick up from apartments in Macquarie Park?
Yes. We collect from apartment buildings across Macquarie Park, North Ryde and Ryde. Let us know the building name and the best place to meet, such as the main entrance or a drop-off bay. Your driver can help with prams and bags while you look after the children.
Do I need to bring my own car seat?
No. We supply and fit capsules, toddler seats and booster seats that meet AS/NZS 1754, anchored with ISOFIX and top tether. Just tell us your child's age, and approximate weight or height if they're between sizes, when you book, and the right seat will be in the car when we arrive.
